Swim Team Season 2017

This was our second season to swim with the Commonwealth Piranhas and R, A, & W had a great time.  They all improved so much and have become confident strong swimmers.  R & A were both in the 7 and 8 year old group, while W was still in 6 and under.  A had to learn all the strokes and at the beginning he struggled, but at the end, he qualified in all strokes to swim at MoC.  R's times improved so much from last year to this year and she was asked to swim on a free-relay team for all-stars.  W was on the A relay team for several meets including the MoC.  We are so proud of all their accomplishments and the character they developed throughout the season.  At some point, both R & A were disqualified in a meet which is hard to accept but they both overcame that obstacle and ended up doing great.  And their number 1 fan was Miss E watching and cheering at every meet and coming to every practice even though she didn't swim.  She played and kept her self entertained for an hour and a half everyday while the older kids swam.  She was a trooper.  She will be ready next summer to swim and I'm excited about cheering for her.

Swim lasted from the beginning of May through the first week of July.  Since R made it to All-Stars, she swam an extra 2 days, but it was pretty much swim team every week-day for 2 plus months.
